Employee loyalty is a critical factor in organizational success, influencing productivity, engagement, and retention rates with studies indicating engaged employees are 17% more productive and 21% more profitable (Gallup, 2020). This study examines how leadership styles in China’s highly competitive insurance industry impact employee loyalty and engagement, crucial for reducing turnover and enhancing performance. A systematic review was conducted using databases such as Google Scholar, focusing on peer-reviewed articles published between 2019 and 2024. Effective leadership was found to be essential for fostering trust, motivation, and alignment with organizational goals, directly influencing employee retention and organizational efficiency. Key themes uncovered included the impact of inclusive, respectful leadership on enhancing employee loyalty and engagement to foster high performance and low turnover, directly boosting business efficiency and profitability. Future research can continue to explore these dynamics using quantitative longitudinal studies to assess the long-term effects of leadership practices on employee loyalty, and qualitative methods such as case studies to gain deeper insights into employee perceptions and experiences within diverse organizational settings.
