Implementing servant leadership by anyone in a leadership role in any corporate setting has significant challenges in the organizations, impacting employee engagement, organizational culture, and overall success. Many organizations struggle with rigid hierarchical structures, cultural differences, and insufficient leadership training, hindering the adoption of servant leadership principles. Global workplace studies indicate only 23% of employees worldwide are engaged at work, emphasizing the need for leadership models promoting well-being, trust, and motivation. Additionally, 59% of employees believe their leaders are not actively engaged, further highlighting the necessity for servant leadership practices. This research systematically reviews existing literature to identify key themes, including trust, ethical leadership, and employee empowerment, which are essential for fostering a positive work environment and improving organizational performance. A systematic review approach was employed, utilizing various academic databases to analyze patterns and gaps in servant leadership research. Findings highlight the relevance of servant leadership in enhancing workplace culture, encouraging innovation, and ensuring long-term business success. Future research can incorporate both quantitative survey-based studies to measure the direct impact of servant leadership and qualitative case studies to explore industry-specific challenges in its implementation.
