JOISS® Research Journals remains steadfast in its mission to foster academic excellence among international scholars. Our scholarship initiative is specifically curated to recognize and support international students in their academic pursuits. To maintain the integrity and purposefulness of our scholarship program, it is imperative interested candidates closely adhere to the eligibility parameters delineated below:

Student Demographic

The JOISS® Scholarship is available to all students demonstrating both merit and need.

Application Fee

An application fee of 8.85 CAD required for the successful processing of your fully complete scholarship application eligible for four consecutive quarterly awards, after which you are welcome to apply again if all criteria are still met.

Merit and Need Evaluation

JOISS® places an emphasis on both academic accomplishment and financial necessity. Hence, it is imperative for applicants to explicitly illustrate both these criteria in their submissions. An analytical and well-articulated document, spanning 250-500 words, demonstrating both merit and need, is mandatory.

Educational Prerequisite

Prospective scholarship applicants must be enrolled in a higher education institution at the time of application.

Academic Record

Most recent unofficial transcript of the applicant’s academic history is requisite. This will be instrumental in assessing the academic merit criterion.

Supplementary Materials

Photographic Requirement: A professional personal headshot is essential, allowing us to maintain an academic profile for our cohort of scholarship recipients.

Professional Affiliations: CV and Linkedin profile.

Unique Application

Each candidate need only apply once for the 1,000 CAD scholarship award and their application will be considered for one year.

Applicants can apply for subsequent years.

Research articles submitted by applicants will go through the peer-review process and, upon approval, will be published into JOISS® Research Journals as a Featured Study.

Attach the following documents with the online form:

Professional personal headshot.
Unofficial transcript.
250-500 word document elucidating your merit and financial need.
For those seeking publication, title of your submitted article.

3. Application Fee Payment

As part of the online form, you will be directed to the secure payment gateway to process the 8.85 CAD application fee. Your one complete application will be eligible for four consecutive quarterly awards, after which you are welcome to apply again if all criteria are still met. Ensure you retain the payment acknowledgment for your records.

7. Publication Opportunity

For students interested in publication, submit your research as a Student Submission to undergo the peer-review process to appear as a Featured Study on the JOISS® Research Journals platform.
