The well-being of employees is crucial for organizational success and influences employee productivity, retention, and morale. Servant leadership fosters trust, empathy, and collaboration, to bring about employee well-being. There is limited research exploring the impact of servant leadership on employee well-being across different industries. This study is a systematic review of the literature on the relationship between servant leadership and employee well-being and follows the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines to ensure a structured and transparent research process. The literature search was conducted using multiple academic databases, including Academic Search Complete, ProQuest, and Google Scholar, to gather relevant peer-reviewed studies on servant leadership and employee well-being. Key themes identified include building trust, reducing stress, and increasing job satisfaction. With servant leadership, supportive workplace settings emerge and the findings have important implications for business leadership because they identify the potential for servant leadership to improve employee engagement and general health in the workplace. Future research on the long-term effects of servant leadership can be conducted with quantitative survey-based research on well-being across industries, complemented by qualitative case studies to capture the experiences of employees to build upon this study’s insights for leaders in their efforts toward creating healthier and more productive work environments through servant leadership practices.
