Simran
Simran is a pharmacist and researcher with a strong interest in improving mental healthcare accessibility and patient outcomes through integrated care models having pursued a Master of Arts in leadership at Trinity Western University in Canada. With experience in both clinical practice and healthcare research, Simran is dedicated to exploring innovative strategies for service delivery in primary care with a focus on the collaborative care model (CCM), particularly its impact on mental health, substance use treatment, youth services, and overall healthcare integration in Canada. Simran’s research interest is on the effectiveness of CCM in enhancing access to mental health services for depression to inform policy and clinical practice by identifying key facilitators and barriers to successful implementation. Simran is also actively involved in leadership and community initiatives, including volunteer work to support underserved populations and advocates for evidence-based, patient-centered approaches in mental healthcare. https://orcid.org/0009-0007-4929-4846
