Sui Yee Eunice Lai
Sui Yee Eunice Lai is a Hong Kong registered architect with almost three decades of experience in the architectural field. Being a project architect, she has led various teams to deliver high-profile and challenging projects from the design stage to completion. She was also grateful to have the opportunity to collaborate with the world-renowned design architects and work on award-winning projects in Hong Kong, including Museum Plus designed by Herzog & de Meuron and Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre designed by Daniel Libeskind. During her professional journey, she has always had a passion for heritage conservation leading her to pursue and complete a master’s degree in building conservation. Adoption of the lifelong learning approach helped her gain knowledge and practical experience in her profession. Recently, she received a Master of Arts in leadership from Trinity Western University in Canada. Sui Yee Eunice Lai believes in the importance of teamwork, which is the essence of project success. In her leadership practices, she places emphasis on the principles of servant leadership, such as effective communication through empathic listening, empowerment, individual development, and building community. This facilitates teamwork effectively and efficiently towards the common goals. Moreover, as an architectural conservationist, her personal mission is to advocate the general advancement of architectural conservation and focus on sustainable development and heritage preservation. Through her participation in building conservation projects and volunteering works, Sui Yee Eunice Lai promotes raising the public awareness and appreciation of architectural conservation resources locally and globally.
