Anthon Bakker
Anthon Bakker has extensive management experience from 1994 until 2021. He was managing director for several companies including Alvoer Alrode, Transfer Logistix, Algroup, and Armex Mining. Anthon Bakker was instrumental in structuring and negotiating the first Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) facilitation in his company in 1996, leading to close development of his businesses with SABreweries becoming part of Annheuser-Busch in later years. Several process developments were refined, including a patent for removing beneficial fiber from food wastes as a substitute for non-nutritive fibers currently used in food. He also led the drive to find ways of generating electricity from available biomass such as sewerage and food waste. Anthon Bakker has a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a postgraduate diploma in labour relations from the University of Pretoria. He has a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Africa at its graduate school for business leadership and a Master of Arts in leadership from Trinity Western University in Canada.
