This study examines the impact of collaborative leadership on nursing teamwork within healthcare settings. Effective teamwork is essential for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring operational efficiency, yet research shows ineffective team dynamics contribute to medical errors and staff burnout. Collaborative leadership fosters communication, shared decision-making, and mutual support, enhancing team cohesion and reducing stress. Key benefits of collaborative leadership include improved patient care, higher job satisfaction, and stronger team performance. However, challenges such as resistance to non-hierarchical structures and resource limitations persist. Addressing this issue is crucial for improving healthcare outcomes and employee engagement. A systematic review was employed, synthesizing existing research to evaluate relationships and identify knowledge gaps. Peer-reviewed articles were sourced from PubMed and Google Scholar and key themes included leadership styles, team dynamics, empowerment, resilience, and burnout prevention. Future research can employ quantitative surveys measuring collaborative leadership effectiveness and qualitative interviews exploring employee experiences in collaborative teams.
