This qualitative descriptive study explored how servant leadership impacts cybersecurity within the context of Asian banking’s wireless revolution. As wireless technologies became more embedded in banking systems, Asian banks faced increasingly complex cybersecurity challenges, demanding effective and adaptive leadership strategies to mitigate risks. We conducted a comprehensive search using databases such as Google Scholar and the Trinity Western University library to gather a wide range of credible sources. Search terms included “servant leadership,” “cybersecurity in banking,” “wireless technology in Asia,” and “leadership accountability.” To ensure data was current and reliable, we focused on peer-reviewed studies published between 2019 and 2024. Studies focused solely on IT or web applications were excluded, as our aim was to concentrate on leadership qualities and cybersecurity strategies relevant to the banking sector. Alongside the literature review, we conducted a survey with six participants from the banking sector, gaining insights into leadership traits such as accountability, emotional intelligence, and proactive security measures. Responses from the survey were incorporated into our analysis, where thematic analysis helped identify leadership qualities across both the literature and survey data. Our findings showed leadership accountability, emotional intelligence, and proactive security efforts played a critical role in addressing cybersecurity risks within the banking industry. These results underscored the importance of strong, adaptive leadership in fostering a resilient cybersecurity framework capable of responding to the rapidly evolving technological landscape. This research lays the foundation for future studies on leadership strategies to improve cybersecurity resilience and efficiency, particularly in the context of wireless technology integration in financial sector.
