I investigated servant leadership (SL) perspectives among Iranian international students in Vancouver, Canada, as they navigate the process of finding professional employment aligned with their past experiences. Iranian international students from a small private Canadian university participated and a questionnaire sent via email was chosen as the instrument to gather data. Findings revealed students who perceive SL attributes in employers, such as empathy and support, feel more motivated and satisfied during their job and exhibit higher levels of workplace belonging. Access to employers demonstrating SL also boosted students’ resilience and self-confidence, leading to a better alignment of job choices with past experiences and improved job satisfaction. Based on these findings, I recommend a comparison study be conducted. By comparing SL perspectives across different cultural groups, the future studies may shed light on the role of SL in fostering workplace belonging among international students.
